Founded in 1995 by Jim Casey, Painless develops and produces television shows and digital content for the largest entertainment companies in the world, including A&E, ABC Family, Animal Planet, Biography, Destination America, Discovery, Discovery+, Disney+, Disney Channel, DIY, E!, FOX, Fox Movie Channel, FX, GSN, HGTV, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime Movies, Lifetime Movie Network (LMN), MTV, National Geographic Channel, NatGeo WILD, Spike, TLC, Travel Channel, Tribune, TruTV, VH-1 and others. Painless’ current and recent projects include: several successful series for Travel Channel/Discovery+, including “The Dead Files,” (15 seasons) and its companion series “Dead Files Revisited” and “The Dead Files Revealed”, the genre-busting “Ghost Brothers: Lights Out,” (2 seasons) the comedy-infused paranormal talk show “Fright Club” (2 seasons) starring Jack Osbourne and The Ghost Brothers, and the critically acclaimed “The Holzer Files,” (2 seasons) based on the cases of America’s first ghost hunter; the innovative, family-friendly build series “Building Outside The Lines” for Magnolia Network; the twisted true terror series “Secrets of the Asylum” for Fox Nation; two gripping Investigation Discovery true-crime series, “Reasonable Doubt” (5 seasons) and “Stranger Among Us”; several Disney+/NatGeo Wild series, including “Going Fur Gold,” documenting the secret lives of champion cats, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, alpacas and their loyal humans competing for Best in Show, “Out There with Jack Randall,” following Steve Irwin’s protégé, three National Geographic SharkFest specials “Man vs. Shark” and “Most Wanted Sharks” and “Sharks That Eat Everything”; and HGTV’s “Hot Properties: San Diego”.
Other projects include the top-rated, darkly comedic, Lifetime Movies/LMN recreation series “My Crazy Ex,” and its spinoff series “My Crazy Sex,” as well as several seasons of the popular horror-themed recreation series “My Haunted House,” airing on A&E, LMN, Destination America and Travel Channel; the highly-rated original Lifetime Movie “House of Darkness” and its follow-up installment “House of Darkness: New Blood”; and the terrifying recreation series “Evil Things” for TLC, re-airing on Travel Channel as “Haunted Things”.
Painless also created and produced Discovery Channel’s “Highway To Sell” automotive series, as well as Travel Channel’s “Sand Masters,” producing 28 episodes of the comedic build-and-reveal series from exotic locations around the world. Painless has also produced more than 130 hours of “The Eukanuba Tournament of Champions,” a series of live event dog shows for Animal Planet, and the multiple award-winning, quirky comic documentary, “Cat People.”
