DJ is a seasoned production executive that has worked in every genre throughout his thirty years in the business, managing over a billion dollars.
He comes to Painless Productions after more than fifteen years as an executive at Warner Bros. first run syndication and unscripted unit, Telepictures. While there, DJ helped launch and oversee countless shows, brands and digital ventures, including TMZ and Extra, as well as crime shows, game shows, and collaborations with DC Entertainment.
Prior to that, DJ was a freelance production executive on several large-scale reality shows, including The Bachelor and The Apprentice. He also helped launch and guide SlamBall, a high-octane televised sport combining basketball and trampolines, which continues overseas to this day.
Before his twenty years in unscripted television, DJ produced scripted series and features. His first job in the business was on Pee Wee’s Playhouse followed by six seasons on Spelling Television’s Beverly Hills, 90210, where he quickly rose to producing the mega hit prime-time show. That amazing experience was followed by working on five films with Stan Winston, the preeminent pioneer of modern creature effects.
DJ has managed every type of project in the business from inception to completion, and is a well-respected, collaborative, trusted and innovative production executive.
