Award-winning writer/producer/editor/director, Jim Casey has been the creative force behind a wide variety of television shows and genres, including children’s, news, documentaries, magazines, sports, daytime strips and prime-time entertainment. Casey is renowned by cable networks and distributors for his innovative approach to conceptualizing, writing, producing, directing and editing. A soup-to-nuts creator, Casey establishes a distinct vision and story-telling approach for all Painless projects.
Casey’s early work on “The Mickey Mouse Club” for The Disney Channel earned him a prestigious Cable Ace nomination. As the show’s Coordinating Producer, he oversaw an 80-person staff on the series that launched the careers of several of today’s hottest entertainers, including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Keri Russell.
Casey worked on the highly acclaimed magazine show, “The Crusaders,” for Disney’s Buena Vista Television. Displaying the creative versatility that he has shown throughout his career, he served as both Head Writer and Promotions Producer during the two seasons that this high profile series aired in broadcast syndication.
Casey’s other credits include a lengthy list of series, specials and pilots for ABC, Nickelodeon, ESPN, FX, MTM, Syfy, Discovery Networks, and AMC.
